Free seminar at Imperial War Museum North

15th October 2009

Imperial War Museum North is running a free seminar as part of the dissemination of its pilot 'Live and Learn' project.

The 'Running Courses for Group Leaders' seminar will be held in order to share with colleagues what they have experienced and learnt from 'Live and Learn'. The seminar will provide practical information about running a training course for group leaders of hard-to-reach groups and approaches to facilitation, as well as featuring an interactive element to illustrate course activities and resources.

The 'Live and Learn' project, funded by the PHF Arts programme, provides free one-day courses for group leaders, activity organisers and training coordinators in order to guide them through how to make the most of a group visit to the museum.

The purpose is to give participants the confidence, skills and resources for leading group visits and encourages participants to apply these skills when visiting other cultural venues, ultimately aiming to make the cultural sector more accessible to people of all ages and abilities.

'Running Courses for Group Leaders' will run from 10am to 4:30pm on 6th November at Imperial War Museum North, Manchester. Early booking is advised.
