The Foundation

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation is one of the larger independent grant-making foundations in the UK.

We make grants to organisations which aim to maximise opportunities for individuals to experience a full quality of life, both now and in the future. In particular we are concerned with children and young people, and others who are disadvantaged.

We prefer to support work which others may find hard to fund, perhaps because it breaks new ground, is too risky or is unpopular.

We also take initiatives ourselves where new thinking is required or where we believe there are important unexplored opportunities.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation is a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (no. 5042279) and a registered charity (no. 1102927).  The principal offices of both the trust and the company is 5-11 Leeke Street, London WC1X 9HY, which is also the registered office of the company.
