'ArtWorks: Developing Practice in Participatory Settings' is a Paul Hamlyn Foundation Special Initiative with support and funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council, Creativity Culture & Education (supported by Arts Council England) and the Cultural Leadership Programme.

The Foundation is pleased to acknowledge the funding provided by the AHRC for ArtWorks. AHRC are supporting the evaluation and research framework underpinning the initiative and will work with the Foundation, the evaluators and the pathfinders to ensure we are carrying out robust and valid practice based research throughout the programme.
Creativity Culture and Education

We promote the value of the arts, creative learning and cultural opportunities by building a strong evidence base, stimulating debate amongst policy makers and opinion formers and through the delivery of high quality programmes which achieve this on the ground.

Creativity Culture and Education have invested in ArtWorks: Developing Practice in Participatory Settings and this has enabled the Foundation to fund more pathfinders than initially intended and to add a development and commissioning strand to our budget to ensure we are able to carry our further research as the programme evolves.
The Cultural Leadership Programme (CLP) was a government-funded investment in excellence in leadership across the creative and cultural industries. We are working together to profile the leadership practice of artists working within participatory settings and will continue to further some of the important work CLP did in this area by building on their research and their legacy beyond March 2011.
